The violet pot is a two part system. The plant is transplanted into the inner pot. The outer pot is then filled (halfway) with water. Water will seep through the unglazed portion of the inner pot to keep the roots moist. Feed with a water soluble food for African Violets and check water level weekly. The smaller the pot, the more frequently you need to add water.
